The FIG Working Week 2023 will take place from 28 May - 1 June 2023
in Orlando, Florida, USA. Be prepared to send your abstract once
submission has opened.
We are excited to let you know that from 28 May - 1 June 2023 the FIG Working Week will take place in
Orlando, Florida USA.
The FIG Working Week 2023 will be organised by
International Federation of Surveyors, FIG, and our local national
host, National Society of Professional Surveyors
(NSPS) and is the premier event for surveyors and geospatial
experts and will be held at the Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek /
Waldorf Astoria Orlando, which is in close proximity to many of the
attractions and entertainment for which Orlando is well known.
The conference theme is “Protecting Our World – Conquering New
Frontiers” and is a great opportunity for the geospatial profession to
expand its presence through technology, experience, and good will
towards a better tomorrow. As our world and climate changes around us,
we can leverage our knowledge base and tools for measuring, monitoring,
and forecasting how to improve the outlook for our future generations.
This Working Week will bring more than 1000 surveyors and
geospatialists from around the globe to share ideas, provide training
for new techniques and methodologies, and offer attendees an opportunity
to see the latest in technology from worldwide venders. The technical
sessions will offer many disciplines, including photogrammetrists,
hydrographers, and land records professionals, opportunities to interact
with fellow geospatial professionals on a wide range of topics in
various settings. We also encourage our younger generations of
geospatial professionals to attend to cultivate opportunities for
mentor/mentee relationships.
The 2023 event will also feature social and tourist opportunities to
get acquainted with Orlando and Florida including several technical
tours highlighting how the area is working with surveying and geospatial
issues and challenges.
FIG and NSPS are currently working on the call for papers and
sponsorship and exhibitor packages. Be prepared to send in your abstract
once the abstract submission has opened!
