Survey on Academic Education in Land Surveying/Geomatics

Commission 2 (Professional Education) of FIG (International
Federation of Surveyors) in collaboration with the Young Surveyor
Network (YSN) is launching a pioneering project for the creation of a
worldwide inventory of university education in land surveying/geomatics,
which will be published as a public access on a web map viewer.
Therefore, we kindly ask you to participate in this project as a
member of a university/academic organization by completing this short
survey?
The survey is divided into different parts of great importance: the
first one consists on basic information about the university, the second
one has is focus in the degree in Surveying/Geomatics given by your
university, and finally there are some questions about the professional
requirements in your country and the last ones about your personal
opinions. We expect it take less than 10 minutes to respond.
Your active participation in this survey would benefit your academic
organization by geopositioning it globally through FIG, and it will
strengthen FIG as a global academic network. The results obtained in
this survey would help our community to identify strength and weakness,
helping us to reinforce synergies to improve our network.

Normally the main language in FIG is English, however this survey
will be delivered in Spanish, too.
La Comisión 2 (Educación Profesional) de la FIG (Federación
Internacional de Agrimensores) con la colaboración de Red de Jóvenes
Agrimensores (YSN) ha lanzado un proyecto pionero para la creación de
un inventario mundial de educación universitaria en
agrimensura/geomática, que se publicará como un visor de mapas web de
acceso público.
Por lo tanto, le pedimos amablemente que participe en este proyecto
como miembro de una organización universitaria / académica completando
esta breve encuesta.
La encuesta se divide en diferentes partes de gran importancia: la
primera consiste en información básica sobre la universidad, la segunda
tiene su enfoque en la titulación de grado en Topografía / Geomática
impartida por su universidad, y finalmente hay algunas preguntas sobre
los requisitos profesionales en su país y las últimas sobre sus
opiniones personales. Esperamos que tarde menos de 10 minutos en
responder.
Su participación activa en esta encuesta beneficiará a su organización
académica al geoposicionarla globalmente a través de FIG, y fortalecerá
a nuestra institución como una red académica global. Los resultados
obtenidos en esta encuesta ayudarán a nuestra comunidad a identificar
fortalezas y debilidades, ayudándonos a reforzar sinergias para mejorar
nuestra red.
