Meetings with Member Associations
President Holger Magel signed the agreement on the 4th Regional Conference in Ghana with Dr. Ben Kwesi  Prah, President of GhIS.

The conference offered good opportunities for new contacts and networking - and for FIG to discuss co-operation in new countries, like e.g. Tanzania. Here delegates from African countries discussing the next meetings - e.g. in Ghana.

The Arab Union of Surveyors had its meeting during the conference under the leadership of Dr. Sarkis Fadous, President of AUS.

GSDI gave its awards to Jack Dangermond, ESRI, Preetha Pulusani, Intergraph Geosolutions, both companies also gold sponsors of the conference and Ivan Deloatch, FGDG, who are here together with President Mukund Rao and the new President Harlan Onsrud.	Harlan Onsrud gets the GSDI flag from Eng. Mohamed Mosaad Ibrahim, Secretary General of the conference at the closing ceremony.
Rodrigo Barrega invites all participants to GSDI-9 in Santiago de Chile in 2006.
