The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors Annual Dinner 2012Grand Hyatt Hong Kong, Hong Kong SAR, 6 November 2012The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors held their annual dinner on the evening of 6 November 2012 at the Grand Ballroom of the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong. Ms Serena LAU, HKIS President welcomed members and guests to what was a grand evening organized by a committee led by Mr Simon KWOK, HKIS Vice President. The annual dinner was honoured by the attendance of the Honourable LEUNG Chun Ying, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
In his official address to members and guests at the dinner, he eloquently called for members of HKIS and their guests to work with his Government so that the residents of Hong Kong SAR can have informed debates on the way forward to address challenges faced by Hong Kong SAR. It is noteworthy that the Honourable LEUNG Chun Ying is a surveyor himself, a member and a past president of The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors.
President CheeHai TEO accepted Ms Serena’s invitation and joined HKIS members and guests at this year’s HKIS Annual Dinner. He also took the opportunity to interact with some HKIS’s Council Members as well as members of its delegation to FIG, Ms Winnie Shiu (FIG Commission 1 Vice-Chair) and Ms Tzena Wong (FIG Commission 10 Vice-Chair) and Mr Raymond Chan (Member, FIG Task Force on Property and Housing).
