Seminars and Symposia organised or co-sponsored by FIG and its Commissions are highlighted with special colour.

6th edition of Romanian Surveying Week (RSW) with the theme "Geospatial technologies for sustainable development of agriculture and built environment " organized by Romanian Surveyors Union, in partnership with the Faculty of Civil Engineering from Polytechnical University Timișoara (FCPUT) and the Faculty of Agriculture from University of Life Science ”King Mihai I” from Timișoara (ULST), and in collaboration with FIG Commissions 2 and 8.
During the RSW the FIG Commission 8 Annual Meeting ”Responsible Knowledge Transfer and Innovation in Land and Spatial Governance” will be held.
FIG Commission 2 will host a Roundtable on education topic.

International Scientific Conference: Towards a State Plane Coordinate System: Scientific Approaches and Practical Challenges


The conference aims to advance academic and professional dialogue on the establishment of a unified national framework for high-precision spatial positioning. Such a framework is of crucial importance across a broad spectrum of fields and applications—including geodesy, cartography, topography, civil engineering, and cadaster—where accuracy, interoperability, and standardization are indispensable. Following the event, an abstract book as well as the full presentations will be published under an open-access license to ensure wide dissemination of the outcomes.

2nd African Women Land Professional Associations Conference (2AWLPAC 2025) organised by FIG Africa Regional Network (ARN) with the theme: "African women land professional associations and gender perspectives for social justice, inclusion and demand for reparation for Africans and descendants of Africans in diaspora".

Target audience: All female and male land professionals including land surveyors, estate surveyors, quantity surveyors, town planners, engineers, builders, lawyers, cartographers, journalists, women's and youth NGOs from the 55 African countries and beyond Africa.
Held as part of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) meeting.
