During the work plan period Commission 4 will chair and actively participate in the activities of TACC. Its next meeting is scheduled from 26 - 29 April 1999 at the US hydrographic conference in Mobile, Alabama. Commission 4 is seeking two additional members to represent FIG on TACC. The role of the International Advisory Board on Standards of Competence for Hydrographic Surveyors is
Commission 4 delegates to the Advisory Board will participate actively in its work during the next five years. The commission is looking for a member from the off-shore survey industry to augment the FIG contribution to the Advisory Board. Other activitiesMaintain and develop the commission home page, linkages to other relevant home pages and new pages or other networks for special projects, to keep commission delegates, other FIG members, users of surveying services and the public involved in and informed about the work of the commission. Sponsor a hydrographic session at the 6th annual south east Asian surveyors conference, Perth, October 1999.
